SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing stands as our primary printing method, suitable for a wide range of garments and promotional items. Known for durability, screen printing can last years with proper care.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Screen printing is the technique of creating a picture or pattern by forcing ink on to a surface through a screen of fine mesh. Your artwork is divided into distinct colours, each requiring its own individual mesh screen.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Screen printing is not limited to garments. We are also able to use this process to print corflute signs, stickers, transfers, bannerettes, pennants, ribbons and more.
We are able to print up to 6 colours onto garments.
Screen printing can only be done on flat surfaces and cannot be done over curved surfaces. Both small and large print sizes can be utilised.
We primarily use plastisol inks however we also offer puff print, metallic and water soluble inks. If you are after a speciality type of ink or print, please contact us to discuss.
We require a high quality digital copy of your artwork however if you are unable to provide this we do offer a redraw service.
Minimum order quantities depend on the number of colours, starting at 10 garments for one-colour screen prints. Quantities less than 10 are best done as a heat or digital transfer print.
The number of colours used in a print will increase the cost, however due to the amount of variables that affect cost we are unable to provide a general price list. However, we are always happy to provide an obligation free quote.
HOW TO CARE FOR SCREEN PRINTING
Your print will naturally wear over a period of time, however caring for it correctly will significantly lengthen its lifespan.
We recommend that garments are washed inside out, if possible, on a cold wash cycle using a mild detergent, and then hung out to dry.
Avoid ironing directly over prints, as excessive and direct heat can cause your print to fade or crack.
We also recommend that you refrain from soaking the print in harsh chemicals like napisan or bleach, but rather to spot treat any stains before washing.
For promotional products, we advise against machine washing. Instead, use a damp cloth to remove any dirt or grime, and if necessary, follow up with a mild detergent on a damp cloth to lift any staining.
Fully submerging the print or using harsh chemicals like napisan or bleach can permanently damage the print.
